Handyman in Torrevieja
From flats near the seafront to older houses in town, we know Torrevieja's homes well. Sea air and humidity are hard on shutters, seals and metal fittings, so those are the jobs we do most here.
What Torrevieja is like
Torrevieja is the only one of our eight areas that is a town in its own right rather than an urbanisation: it has its own town hall, its own market and a Spanish population that is here in January as much as in August. The two salt lakes behind it are what the town was built on, and they are still working salt pans.
That mix shows in the buildings. Near the seafront most homes are flats in blocks put up decades ago; walk inland and you are among older town houses. Sea air and humidity are hard on shutters, seals and metal fittings, so those are the jobs we do most here. Blocks of that age come with a residents' committee and often a caretaker, so access is usually arranged with someone besides the owner before anything can start.
Torrevieja is the middle of our patch, which is why we can usually be here quickly. It carries no travel charge, and neither do La Mata just north or the Orihuela Costa urbanisations to the south. It is also where the town hall, the weekly market and the hospital are, which is why people from the urbanisations to the south drive here for their errands.
